A dohar is a traditional three-layered bedspread made of 2 layer of cotton with flannel inter-lining that functions as a lightweight blanket. It is perfect for cooler nights as well as air-conditioned rooms in the summer months. Easy to maintain, they get softer with every wash.
Hand block printing has been practised in India for hundreds of years.
Skilled artisans create carved wooden blocks which are dipped in dye and then stamped on fabric to create some beautiful designs. This traditional process of printing on textiles with rich colours requires steady movement and careful hand-eye coordination.
